RMI combines recycled tires and
plastics, then molds them into a solid
bumper that will not crush if the trailer is
backed into a object, or collapse if the
horse steps on it.
3
1/4" tall is the only vertical back height offered.
The bumper extends 2 1/4" from where it
is mounted, and is slanted on both top &
bottom to measure 1 1/2" at the outer
rounded edge. The top surface has 3 grooves,
for a better grip for horse's hooves. This
product has a concave back, and must have
enough room so that both the top & bottom
edges fit flat against the trailer. The bolt
holes are counter-sunk 7/8", for safety. Use
3/8" bolts with a 1' wide washer.
Each trailer bumper is custom cut to the
exact length by the fraction of an inch
that you specify, and the bolt hole centers
are drilled exactly where you
specify.
Custom
Bumpers measuring up to 84" are the 7'
price.
Bumper
lengths measuring over 84" are the 8' price.
You will not receive the
remaining length, but you can order
two pieces if your bumper is
"split", an you will just be charged
for the total number of inches.

Height
measurement is the flat back where it is fastened to the
trailer. Comes with pre-cut recessed holes for bolt-on installation.
If the length of your bumper is shorter than 84", you
may still order this bumper,
but please measure the bolt-hole
locations carefully! These bumpers are hollow, and
can be cut with a saw. They can also be drilled with
additional bolt holes (do it yourself).
Pre-drilled bolt
holes: The first hole center is
placed 3 inches from each end, then the
remaining hole centers are 12 inches apart. 7
holes total. The holes are drilled for a
3/4" bolt (not supplied).
