Two-way vents can be opened either backwards (in case of rain or to vent heat out of the trailer) or forward (to scoop air into the trailer for ventilation). They also shut beautifully & don't leak.

We have upgraded our roof vents and now offer you the best & safest roof vent for equines on the market today! The 3 interior metal blades that were a danger to animals are now eliminated--much safer for your animals, in case of impact.  The interior handle with which to position the vent lid is fastened on much more securely and it is easier to grasp. It has a ergonomic grip -one squeeze of the handle relieves the sealing force for simple opening in either direction. In addition, there is a full-size neoprene gasket in the lid to prevent leaks. Comes with 12 pre-drilled holes for mounting.

We recommend installing one of  the closed-cell gaskets made specifically for this roof vent to prevent leaking. These gaskets also make a great template for cutting a perfect hole in the trailer roof.

We are the only company we know of that offers two sizes of trim ring for this vent--1 1/8" tall for a one-thickness roof or a taller trim at 2 1/4" tall for an insulated roof--both at the same low price.

Two-Way Roof Vent Gasket

This is a 1/8" thick closed-cell foam gasket. Closed-cell foam means the gasket won't absorb water, so it prevents the two- way roof vent from leaking. Installs between the vent & the trailer roof.

The gasket with adhesive is exactly the same as the gasket without, but has a peel & stick feature on both sides. It uses exactly the correct amount of adhesive and is rigid until the paper is removed. This allows it to be used as a template to cut the correct shaped hole in the roof of the trailer.

We highly recommend that these gaskets be installed with the steel and aluminum two-way roof vents sold above.

Aluminum Two-Way Roof Vent, LOW PROFILE   NEW!

This LOW PROFILE roof vent can also be placed on the SIDES of all types of trailers, for more ventilation. Remember, they generally operate from the inside, but can be manually closed from the outside.  The handles protrude almost 3" on the inside of the trailer. The closed lid protrudes  3/4" on the exterior when shut, and 2 1/4" when open in either position.

This vent is also designed to replace the roof vents on older horse trailers where the dimensions of the existing hole match better. They are usually placed away from the heads & bodies of horses, such as one vent between the horses' head space and forward in a two horse-straight load trailer.

Fits only the LOW PROFILE aluminum two-way roof vents sold above. Measure from the inside ceiling of the trailer up to the lower edge of the roof. Best to measure up to the bigger size & cut it down if necessary, but if you order too short of a trim, there will be a gap between the trim & the vent.

This product is commonly used to increase air circulation in all varieties of trailers. Installs over a 5 3/4" to 6" round hole in the trailer wall & install with pop rivets. Much better than the old "chrome" type, because it will never rust. The mounting hole centers are exactly 6 1/2" across from each other. Operated from the exterior of the trailer.
